New York, NY… In response to last night’s debate, independent candidate for Mayor Jim Walden released the following statement:

“Last night, the spectacle of Democratic mayoral candidates was on full display, again. Heavy on attacks, light on ideas. Heavy on zingers, light on solutions. We can do better.

“New Yorkers across every corner of our great city will get to know me and hear about my independent vision for a stronger, safer, better New York City, one focused on true prosperity, not just affordability. As someone who fought for New Yorkers from every walk of life for 30 years, including as a federal prosecutor, I look forward to making my case to the people. Between now and the November election, I will visit every neighborhood in the city, making my case to restore integrity to City Hall with a laser focus on good government—a fight I have been waging my whole career.

“I am the only candidate that truly represents the overwhelming majority of New Yorkers who are fed up with the status quo and want real change. I will bring safety, stability, integrity and lower taxes to New York City.

When the real debates begin. I’ll be there. And the majority of New Yorkers will be with me.”
