As a former City Commissioner and civil servant for over 20 years, I have joined a broad, bipartisan coalition to support an independent fighter as Mayor, one who can end the insanity in our City government. Jim Walden has a 30-year record of fighting for New Yorkers. He is an acclaimed lawyer who knows politics and has counseled many elected officials. He has deep integrity and has brought about important change. We now need Jim in City Hall. We have suffered through two terrible and embarrassing administrations in a row, plagued by scandal and mismanagement, and led by Mayors who enjoy the trappings of the job more than doing the job. We won’t have to worry about that with Jim. Jim works tirelessly for New Yorkers.

I am proud to endorse Jim Walden for New York City Mayor.  Having spent time with Jim, I am convinced that—when New Yorkers get to know him as I have—he is going to catch fire.  He has boundless energy, connects with people authentically, and inspires them.  His life story is inspiring in itself—going from a tough upbringing to the top of his profession and helping so many people along the way.  As a candidate, he brings deep experience and great policy ideas, especially on solving the housing crisis – a problem that has plagued the city for generations.
